Doug Childers Jr., ARM, ARM-P
As President and Chief Executive Officer of LassiterWare, Doug Childers Jr. is leading the agency to new heights. His passion for excellence has been a part of his character since joining LassiterWare in 2005. Doug was consecutively recognized and awarded as a top producer in his first eight years with the agency. During this time, he proved his leadership in a variety of ways including building a non-profit specialty from the ground up for the agency. His skill sets in management, forecasting, strategy and pure knowledge of the insurance business propelled him to President/CEO in 2013.
In his current role, Doug oversees the management of the five profit centers throughout LassiterWare’s five geographical locations within Florida. Doug’s desire for creating and maintaining an inspiring and successful business starts with the LassiterWare employees in ensuring support and resources needed in exceeding their clients’ expectations. LassiterWare has been named a “Golden 100” company throughout the years by the Orlando Business Journal since 2015. LassiterWare was also recognized as the Insurance Journal’s 2017 “Best Agency to Work for Gold Winner” in the Southeast, a step up from its Silver honor in 2016.
Doug is extremely active in the community through several organizations including the agency’s own nonprofit, LassiterWare Cares. Under his direction, LassiterWare was awarded the “2015 Humanitarian Award” by the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Orlando Sentinel’s 2015 “Top 100 Companies for Working Families,” the 2016 “Make More Happen Award” by Safeco Insurance, and 2017 brought a year of record-breaking accomplishes in initiatives by the LassiterWare Cares foundation and the LassiterWare employees.
Childers graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Risk Management. Doug and his wife Heather have three daughters Sydney, Charlee and Saylah.
Sandy joined the LassiterWare agency in 2017 as senior Accounting Assistant was promoted to Controller in 2019.
Sandy hold Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has been in the accounting field for over 10 years.
For fourteen years, Sandy had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom and supported her husband in his 28 years in the Air Force. Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband and family and everything Disney.
Deborah A. Paulik
Deborah was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia and moved to Florida in 1986 after graduating from Northeastern Business College. She joined LassiterWare in 2006 as an Office Manager after working for a large distribution company in central Florida. She quickly progressed throughout the agency as a valued asset to the Employee Benefits Department, landing her as the Director of Employee Benefits Client Services in 2017.
Deborah’s background in Human Resources and Plan Administrative Support brings additional resources to our Employee Benefit clients. These coupled with her unique understanding of the complex requirements for plan administrators, Deborah plays an intricate role in helping develop an efficient and effective process for LassiterWare’s clients.
She currently holds a 2-15 (Life, Health & Variable Annuities) license and is a member of National Association of Healthcare Underwriters.
Deborah enjoys spending time with her family as much as possible and volunteering in the community at local animal shelters.
Diane joined the LassiterWare agency in 2018 as a Business Account Manager and was soon promoted in 2019 as the Community Business Unit Division Leader.
With 12 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance, Diane holds a Masters in Degree in Organizational Leadership from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Canisius College also in Buffalo, NY.
Diane holds a Florida 2-20 (General Lines) license and is also a licensed Producer in Property & Casualty in the State of New York.
Diane enjoys spending time with her husband and family as well as cooking and volunteering at her church.
As the Director of Internet Technology, Don brings over 30 years of computer technology experience and has spent 17 of those years with LassiterWare. Campbell provides leadership for the continued development of a robust and secure information technology environment throughout the agency. His primary responsibilities focus on setting IT direction and coordinating infrastructure and service delivery across all five of LassiterWare’s offices.
Don has certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, HP and A+. He is also a nationally recognized speaker on the use of technology in insurance.
Outside of LassiterWare, Don spends a great deal of time working with historic organizations teaching history to school groups and serves as a staff member for the Lake County Historical Museum.
Carri is originally from Oregon and officially became a Floridian in 2009! She began her career in the insurance industry in 2011 accepting an offer to work as a receptionist with The Villages Insurance agency. Carri soon realized that she found her niche and by 2012, she had gained a 220 license. In 2014, she was managing an office for The Villages Insurance agency with a staff of 5 sales advisors and 2 administrative personnel. Carri joined LassiterWare in February 2020 and most recently moved into the role of Personal Lines Manager.
Since joining the insurance industry, Carri has spent her career writing insurance policies and educating clients and colleagues. By building strong and solid relationships with her clients Carri is able to write comprehensive policies while educating her clients on their insurance coverage.
Carri has 4 sons, 2 grandchildren and both her husband and father served in the United States military. Her husband retired from the Navy and her father was a Marine and is a Vietnam veteran. In Carri's spare time, she manages a small farm with her family in Ocklawaha where they are currently raising 6 dogs they have rescued.
